NarTakas is a mobile-first marketplace for swaps, gifts, and local item circulation. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how users can request support or deletion.
Data We Collect
- Basic account data such as display name, email address, or verified phone number.
- Profile content such as avatar, bio, handle, and city or location details.
- Listing content such as titles, descriptions, categories, photos, and swap or gift metadata.
- Message and conversation data needed to operate offers, swap flows, and support moderation.
- Purchase records such as in-app purchase receipts and transaction identifiers from Apple or Google for premium features.
- Customer support records such as reports, abuse flags, and messages submitted through in-app help or contact channels.
- Technical data such as push notification tokens, session records, and basic request logs.
- Usage and device data for advertising measurement, such as app installs, app opens and device identifiers (see Advertising Measurement).
How We Use It
- To create and secure user accounts.
- To show nearby listings and make distance filters work correctly.
- To operate messaging, reporting, moderation, and swap lifecycle actions.
- To diagnose reliability, abuse, fraud, and safety issues.
- To measure the performance of our advertising campaigns.
Data Sharing
NarTakas does not sell user data. Data may be processed by infrastructure providers that help us run the service, such as hosting, messaging, or payment partners. We do not share messages, listing content, contact details or Askıda documents with advertising networks. To measure the performance of our ads, the app shares limited usage and device data with Meta (see Advertising Measurement below).
Advertising Measurement (Meta)
From app version 1.0.4, NarTakas uses Meta's App Events SDK (Meta Platforms) to measure how our ads on Facebook and Instagram perform, for example how many app installs an ad led to.
- Data sent to Meta: app installs and app opens, in-app purchases made through Apple or Google, and device information such as device model, operating system version and IP address. On Android this also includes the device's advertising ID.
- On iOS we do not ask for tracking permission, so the IDFA advertising identifier is not collected.
- Your messages, listings, profile content, contact details and Askıda photos or documents are not sent to Meta.
- Meta processes this data under its own Privacy Policy to provide measurement and advertising services, and may process it outside Turkey and the UK, including in the United States.
- On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. For questions or deletion requests, write to hello@nartakas.app.
Askıda Requests: Photos and Documents
When opening a need request in Askıda, users can optionally add up to 3 photos and 1 document (for example a hospital report or a prescription).
- Photos are shown publicly together with the request.
- The document appears blurred on the request and can only be opened by members signed in to NarTakas. The document itself is not shown in the Askıda list or in shared links.
- Documents may contain special categories of personal data, such as health information. By uploading a document, the user voluntarily shares this information with other members. We recommend covering ID numbers, addresses, phone numbers and barcodes before uploading.
- If a document belongs to someone else (for example a relative), their explicit permission must be obtained before sharing it.
- NarTakas does not verify documents. Documents believed to be fake or to belong to someone else can be reported from within the app.
- When a request is deleted, its photos and document are no longer shown. To have a document removed after a request has been fulfilled, write to support@nartakas.app.
Account Deletion
Users can delete their account directly inside the app. When an account is deleted, active session access is revoked and account data is removed according to the current service logic and platform constraints.
